September 2021 - Spanish Fork Happenings
Texas Roadhouse is coming to Spanish Fork on Commerce Way and Hwy 6. Plans have been approved by the city and construction will begin soon.
Slim Chickens is coming to the corner of 990 N 400 E across from the Quick Quack car wash. They have to demolish the two homes there and start on construction so there isn’t a completion date yet. It will have a drive-thru at this location and I’ll keep you updated as construction continues.
The Fitness Court at 2325 E Purple Sage Dr in the Legacy Farms development is opening on September 17th at 6:40AM. Yes, you read that correctly.
The Buckle is currently under construction directly next to TJ Maxx in the Canyon Creek shopping center. As things progress, I’ll post about it here.
Don’t forget the food trucks every Friday in the Library City Park from 5-7:30pm until September 24th.
Utah’s Festival of Speed WINGS and WHEELS will be held on September 25th at the SF airport (2050 N 300 W). There is a full day of activities and tickets are on sale now at Spanish Fork City’s website. The event will feature skydivers, exotic cars, and aerobatic shows among other things.
The Spanish Fork Farmers Market is still going strong through October 30th in its new location at 775 W Center Street from 8am-1pm every Saturday.
The Harvest Moon Hurrah will be on September 18th from 3-8pm and includes music, food trucks, and other activities in the Library City Park.
We continue to see a leveling out in the real estate market as we take a small course correction. There hasn’t been a drop in prices but we are stabilizing which is exactly what the wild market needed. House values have risen in nearly every state in America. While housing prices are a shock to most people, your home’s equity might be equally surprising. The lack of inventory still takes center stage as buyers look for homes with little to no avail. Sellers don’t want to sell because they have very little options when looking for a replacement and buyers can’t buy because sellers aren’t selling. This problem creates a cycle that we’ve been in for quite some time with high demand and home prices. The easy answer to all of this is to build more homes. Unfortunately with shortages of nearly every material needed to build homes, we aren’t adding a lot of inventory any time soon. I’m watching the market closely as the CARES Act forbearance program ends which will add some much needed inventory to our market. As always, I am here for your questions and a free market analysis of your home. DM, call, email, or text me to get in touch!
