The shift in the real estate market has happened quickly and is almost palpable! Increased interest rates with a slowing economy and fears of a recession have eroded consumer confidence and caused potential homebuyers and sellers to pause and take a breath. This has translated into home prices slowing down from their rapid increase and brought our wild real estate ride to a halt. Utah’s housing market needed something to slow it down and it’s happening now. Buyers, this is fantastic news! You will no longer need to get into a bidding war with sellers and can even negotiate closing cost or the purchase price! Sellers, we need to realign expectations of timelines and what this market looks like for you. Homes are sitting on the market much longer now with an average of 23 days for the state of Utah. What does this all mean for your situation? Give me a call or reach out to me via social media and we can talk about it. Let’s change the narrative from fear to facts and get your real estate needs taken care of!
