December 2024 - Spanish Fork Happenings

Silent Santa is an event for adults and children with sensory issues to have a one-on-one appointment with Santa without noises and crowds. It is held on Saturday, December 7th from 10am-12pm.  You must make an appointment here: https://www.spanishfork.gov/events/silent_santa.php

The Christmas Box Angel ceremony will be held on December 6 at 7pm at the Spanish Fork Cemetery.  This annual memorial service is to remember children that have passed away and will feature a short ceremony and musical number.

Deeply Rooted Plant Company just had their grand opening on Black Friday.  They are located at 1348 E Center St and have a variety of indoor plants as well as home decor and gifts.

Shop with a Cop will take place on Saturday, December 14th around 6am.  There will be nearly 100 cop cars with their lights flashing going up Hwy 6 to the Festival of Lights and then back down the highway to Walmart. Just be aware and alert!

Festival of Lights continues through January 1st at Canyon View Park.  They have moved to a ticketing system to reserve your time slot in hopes that it will speed up the long lines.  For more information, go to: https://www.spanishfork.gov/events/fol/index.php

Little Caesars Pizza opened on December 3rd in the neighborhood Walmart shopping center. This location has a drive through for your convenience.  The other location is not moving but now there will be two stores in Spanish Fork.

Stop Light: There are plans to put in a much needed stop light at Spanish Fork Pkwy and Canyon Creek Pkwy by Summer of 2025.

LongHorn Steakhouse still plans on opening January 27th.  As I learn about a grand opening, I’ll  be sure to update you on social media.

The real estate market is typically slow during the holiday season and this year is no different. Savvy buyers will see the opportunity to score a deal on a home but generally speaking, most buyers are waiting until the new year to start their home search.  Interest rates continue their roller coaster ride of going down for a day or two and then back up again.  Rightfully so, buyers have whiplash from the up and down of interest rates.  One minute you can afford a home and the next, it’s too expensive. Agents and lenders alike are hoping for a more stable market in 2025 with a new presidency in place.  Regardless of the market, I offer a free market analysis of your home so you can decide what your next step is in your real estate journey!
