March 2022 - Spanish Fork Happenings

PostNet will be opening in April at 826 Expressway Lane in the old Kmart shopping center. It is your “one stop shop for printing, design, and shipping solutions”.  It will feature a notary, fingerprinting, P.O. Boxes with a street address, as well as UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS shipping options.

Sunrise Nutrition opened in the Macey’s shopping center at 59 E 1000 N.  They specialize in healthy shakes and nutrition.

Zagg opened a new location at 1274 N Canyon Creek Drive in the Hobby Lobby shopping center on February 28th.  Zagg focuses on protective coverings for electronics.

Roll Up Crepes announced it is opening a store at 39 E 1000 N by Arctic Circle.  They are still waiting on a building permit and plan to open tentatively in August.  I’ll keep you updated as things progress.

The Spanish Fork-Salem Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt will be held on April 16 at 9am at the Sports Park.  Stay tuned for more details!

Spanish Fork City is continuing their Green Spring Clean Up but this year instead of dumpsters, they are giving each residence 3 – $10 vouchers to take your items to the transfer station in Springville.  You will need to print the voucher (not accepting electronic copies) and bring it to the station with your GREEN waste.  For more details, check out spanishfork.org/greenwaste

Did you know that you can buy tickets online NOW for the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days rodeo in July?  I suggest getting them now as they will likely sell out.  Go here for more information. In case you hadn’t noticed, interest rates have risen quickly!  They were predicted to be around 3.75% by the end of 2022 and they have passed that mark already.  But they are still at historically low rates!  The problem that will continue is Utah’s low housing inventory.  If you’ve been looking for a home, there aren’t many to buy (14 TOTAL on the market in Spanish Fork as of this writing)!  As we have a shortage of inventory, coupled with rising interest rates, you begin to squeeze most buyers out of the market.  This will naturally slow down the market as we do not have enough qualified buyers. If you’re curious what the average home sells for in Spanish Fork and the surrounding areas, check out my monthly Market Stats post here  Please reach out to me if you have any questions or if you want a market analysis of your home.
