The real estate world has been enjoying the decline of mortgage rates for the past month or so.  The Feds met in September and lowered the Federal Fund Rate by 50 basis points.  Now remember, the Federal Fund Rate is not the same as mortgage interest rates.  Sometimes they follow each other and sometimes they don’t.  Mortgage interest rates are much more complicated than simply following the Federal Fund Rate.  Luckily you don’t need to understand the ins and outs of the financial markets to know what’s going on.  You can reach out to your trusted lender to see what your interest rate would be but rates are significantly lower than they were a year ago!  This means your monthly mortgage costs are more affordable than they have been in years.  If you’d like a free market analysis of your home to see how much equity you have, please reach out to me.  I’m always happy to help!
