September 2024 - Spanish Fork Happenings

Harvest Moon Hurrah will be held at the City Park (49 S Main) on Saturday, September 7th from 11am-6pm.  There will be crafts, games, music and food trucks in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Sole Reflexology Spa recently opened at 57 E 1000 N in Spanish Fork.  They specialize in reflexology and offer different types of sessions at various lengths of time.  I personally tried out the spa and loved it.  If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing time, this is the place for you.

Wings and Wheels continues their annual tradition of showcasing unique airplanes and exotic cars however this year it’s down to one day instead of two.  The event will be held on Saturday, September 28th from 8am-6pm at Spanish Fork Airport.  More information and tickets can be found here: https://www.spanishfork.org/departments/public_works/airport/ww/index.php

Spanish Fork Emergency Management is hosting an Emergency Preparedness Expo on Wednesday, October 2nd at 6pm at 380 N Main Street.  If you’re interested in how to protect yourself and your family in an emergency, come check this out.

Spirit Halloween is now open at 1327 N 200 E Spanish Fork with plenty of Halloween costumes and accessories.

Uptown Cheapskate recently opened and is selling and buying used clothing.  They are located at 1052 N Main Street next to Sherwin-Williams.

Spanish Fork City is planning on doing a Fall Cleanup similar to their Spring Cleanup.  It will take place October 5-23 and the logistics of it are still being decided.  I’ll let you know as soon as I get more information.

In real estate news, buyers are paralyzed.  Rates go up and down daily, if not hourly, and the rollercoaster is leaving buyers with whiplash. Pair that with over 10K of inventory in the state of Utah (which we haven’t seen in YEARS) and an upcoming election and you’ve got…the perfect time to buy a house!  Hear me out…everyone else is sitting on the fence waiting for something magical to happen.  My crystal ball predicts someone will win the election (I know, crazy right?) and life will go back to the insane way it was before the election.  People will still buy and sell homes and need shelter.  If you’re worried about getting the best rate possible, you can buy now and refinance if and when rates come down.  But with all that inventory, sellers have to compete more for your offer than they have in quite a while.  Ask for closing costs, rate buydowns and even the kitchen sink (ok so the sink comes with the home) but you get my point.  Don’t be paralyzed, be smart and educated!  I’m happy to help you make the best decisions for you!
